With over a decade of experience as a full-time CEO for a major First Responder union, and 25 years in the First Responder Profession, Matt has acquired a significant amount of experience in Labour Relations, Policy Development, Board Governance, as well as Media & Crisis Managment.
Currently, Matt sits as a Director on the 'Ride For Dad' (in support of PCFF, Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation), the 'Ottawa Police Veterans Association' (Supporting the retired members of the Ottawa Police Service) ,and the 'Ottawa Bandits Hockey' (...provides athletes with special needs a hockey team to belong to...') charitable organizations; he also sat as a Director on the 'Canadian Police Association' Board, from 2013-2020.
Along with many media publications, Matt has testified before the Senate of Canada as well as having lobbied on several key First Responder issues at both Parliament Hill and Queens Park.
In 2016-2017, Matt was honoured to receive recognition from the Three Strohm Sisters Family Foundation and the Ontario Paramedic Association.
However, Matt is most proud of successfully creating the 'Fatigue Management Strategy'; this strategy assisted his membership in recapturing their health...mind, body & spirit. He remains committed to this endeavour, even today.
